A police officer who felt attracted to his colleague, broke into her home and stole her underwear, according to police in Japan.

Tokushima police said that they have arrested 23-year-old Kiyotaro Takashima, after being accused of stealing four used panties from his 25-year-old colleague.

Takashima has been charged with breaking and entering and theft.

According to the police investigation, Takashima and the victim were police officers at the Naruto City police department.

On Wednesday, at around 2:00 a.m., Takashima went to his colleague’s residential apartment building and jumped over a fence.

He climbed up to a window, and used a screwdriver to force it open. Takashima then took four pairs of panties and fled from the scene.

Takashima later told police that he became scared and threw away the woman’s panties, which were estimated to be worth about $20.

The panties were found in a garbage bin outside of a convenience store.
