(Scroll down for video) A father who was ordered to have no contact with his former girlfriend or his biological son, killed the boy and himself.

Tyler Knaub of Las Vegas, Nevada, broke into his former girlfriend’s home, where he used zip-ties on the woman and their 4-year-old son Nova.

He then stabbed his former girlfriend and their son. The mother was stabbed numerous times in face and neck. She was rushed to a hospital and is expected to survived the attack.

A neighbor who heard the screams, came into the home and found the boy covered in blood. He did not survive. The boy’s father was found dead in another room in the home. He had stabbed himself and was pronounced dead.

Since last July, Tyler was kept away from his son. His former girlfriend was awarded sole legal and physical custody of Nova with no visitation for Knaub.

This came after Knaub was arrested and charged with battery domestic violence against his then girlfriend.

Last month, Knaub filed a motion to have visitation with his son. He wrote in his court petition that he wants to maintain his great relationship with his son. “I honor parenting Nova. We enjoyed our time together and I am a great parent to him,” he wrote.

The case was supposed to be heard two weeks ago in Family Court, but the hearing was canceled and the motion was never heard.
