Three young children were left without their parents after their mother died hours after their father was buried.

27-year-old Stephanie Caceres and Jevaughn Suckoo, 26, of West Palm Beach, Florida, were parents to a one-year-old daughter named Kailanie, and were looking forward to the birth of their twins.

However, the family's life turned upside down when Sucjoo was shot and killed in the couple's home. The father's death was ruled a homicide, but so far, no arrests have been made.

Three days after his death, Caceres underwent a Cesarean section and gave birth to twins, a baby boy named Jevaughn Jr. and a girl named Lailah.

After the birth, Caceres wrote on Facebook that she does not understand how the killer "had the heart to leave three children without a father especially two who never got the chance to even meet him.

"The fact that my kids have to grow up without their father is killing me. I'm trying to stay strong, but this has to be the toughest battle I've ever had to fight," the mother said.

Sadly, she had no idea that her children will grow up without any of their parents. Caceres developed an infection, which is believed to have been caused by her Cesarean section.

10 days after giving birth, the same day as her boyfriend's funeral, Caceres died. The three children are being cared for by their grandparents.

"Jevaughn Jr. and Lailah at least had the opportunity to bond with their mother for 4 days before she too was gone," Lina Niemczyk wrote on GoFundMe.

The GoFundMe page was setup to help the family care for the babies. In just 2 days, they have received $83,400 in donations out of their $100,000 goal.
