(Scroll down for video) Police in Pakistan, have arrested 25 people after they ordered a revenge rape as part of an “eye for an eye” punishment.

Earlier this month, a local council in Rajapur village near Multan, was called after a family accused a 16-year-old boy of raping his 13-year-old neighbor.

The village council ruled that the boy’s twin sister should be handed over to the victim’s brother so he can rape her as revenge.

The 13-year-old girl’s brother complied with the council’s ruling and he raped the 16-year-old girl.

The families of both victims called police to report the rapes. Authorities filed criminal charges against the village council over the rape of the 16-year-old girl.

Multan City Police Officer Ahsan Younus said that so far, 25 village council elders who ordered the revenge rape, have been arrested.

Both the victims and their mothers have been placed in a women’s protection center.
