A woman who crashed her car while driving under the influence of alcohol, attempted to escape from the scene without charges by kissing the responding police officer, according to police in India.

Kolkata police said that they have arrested the 35-year-old woman, who was not identified, after being accused of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The woman is facing charges of drunk driving, reckless driving and bribery.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded early on Thursday morning, near the Chingrihata crossing.

At around 1:00 a.m., the woman was driving her car along with two friends, who were also intoxicated. The driver lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into a fence.

A taxi driver stopped to help the injured passengers, but the woman kicked him.

A police officer who responded to the scene, attempted to remove the woman from the vehicle, but she pulled him inside.

She then hugged him tightly and kissed him. The woman refused to let go despite the officer’s repeated warnings.

Passersby came to the aid of the police officer, and pulled the woman and her drunk friends from the vehicle.

The woman and her two friends were taken to the Bidhannagar South police station. The two friends are facing charges of misconduct.
