(Scroll down for video) Prison inmates in Virginia, were surprised to see a new friendly member in their facility, according to a video that was uploaded to the Internet.

A spokesperson for the Virginia Beach Correctional Center said that inmates named their new raccoon friend Bandit and Rockie.

One day, as inmates were shopping at the facility’s canteen for snacks and drinks, they saw the raccoon staring at them next to the window.

The raccoon was trying to figure out how to get into the canteen to reach the snacks, but so far, it had no success.

Officials investigated how the raccoon got into the prison facility. They determined that the racoon hopped onto a food truck from Georgia.

The animal then traveled with the food truck to Virginia, and when the driver unloaded food in the prison facility, the raccoon hopped off.

The raccoon is living between two walls, and it has access to food and water. The prison inmates love their new friend as it breaks up their day.

Some inmates tap on the window to get the raccoon to appear so they can play with it.
