Snake wraps around neck and bites nose of woman who rescued it a day earlier

(Scroll down for video) A woman who loves snakes, nearly died after a boa constrictor wrapped around her neck and bit her nose, according to police in Ohio.

Sheffield Lake police have released the 911 call of the 45-year-old woman, who was not identified, during which she begged for help.

According to the police investigation, the woman loves snakes and she kept 11 reptiles in her home. On Wednesday, she rescued two boa constrictors, and added them to her collection of 9 ball pythons.

On Thursday, at around 2:00 p.m., the woman arrived at her home located East Lake Road, and was attacked by one of the boa constrictors.

The snake wrapped around her neck and began biting her nose.

Luckily, the woman was able to call 911 and ask for help.

Fire Chief Tim Card said that firefighters who arrived at the scene, quickly used a pocket knife to cut off the head of the snake after it refused to let go of the woman’s nose.

After the snake died, it let go of the woman’s nose. Firefighters threw away the dead snake in a garbage bin near Sheffield Lake City Hall.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life threatening.
