(Scroll down for video) A man in Ohio, allegedly killed his girlfriend and hid her body in a freezer that he stored at an elderly neighbors’ home.

The elderly couple recently decided to break open the padlock on the freezer and were shocked to find the body inside.

The victim was identified as 28-year-old Shannon Graves, who went missing in February, according to her sister.

Police arrested 31-year-old Arturo Novoa of Youngstown, and his current girlfriend, Katrina Layton, 34.

Novoa allegedly asked Layton to assume Graves’ identity to hide the murder. Layton moved into the victim’s home, where she cared for the woman’s pets.

She also used the victim’s credit cards while living at her home with Novoa.

The two were charged with abuse of a corpse. A judge set bond at $1 million each.

The elderly couple who thought that Novoa was their friend, were horrified to learn that not only did he keep the freezer with the body in their home, he also lied about his identity.

Novoa introduced himself as Anthony Gonzalez to the couple a few years ago, when they became friends.
