(Scroll down for video) A bride who was still wearing her wedding dress was hauled off to jail after pulling the trigger of her gun at her husband’s head just hours after tying the knot, according to police in Tennessee.

The Murfreesboro Police Department said that they have arrested 25-year-old Kate Elizabeth Prichard, after being accused of pulling the trigger at her husband and firing a shot in the air near 30-year-old James Jarid Burton.

Prichard has been charged with one count of aggravated domestic assault. She was booked into the Rutherford County jail, and her bail has been set at $15,000.

According to the police investigation, Burton and Prichard got married and then went to the Clarion Inn for their honeymoon.

Guests at the motel noticed that the newly married couple were drinking and arguing.

Suddenly, Prichard pulled out a gun from her wedding dress and pressed it against Burton’s head. What she did next, shocked everyone at the scene.

Prichard pulled the trigger at her husband’s head. Luckily, the gun was not loaded. Prichard loaded the gun and fired a shot in the air.

Guests quickly called police to stop the angry bride. When police arrived at the scene, the couple denied everything, saying that they were happily married.

Officers recovered a spent shell casing and a weapon from the couple’s toilet.
