Boy robs man using BB gun and breaks into car

Police in New York, have arrested a teenager who robbed a man at gunpoint before breaking into a vehicle.

17-year-old Zavion Maye of Albany, was arrested following the robbery that occurred on Robin Street.

Officers responded to the area of Myrtle Avenue and Robin Street, for a report of a robbery at about 1:00 a.m.

Upon arrival, the victim told officers that while he was walking down the street, a teenager approached him, displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded his property.

The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene with the victim’s wallet and cell phone. The victim was unharmed during the incident.

Shortly after the robbery call, officers responded to the 600 block of Myrtle Avenue, for a report that a male had just broken into a vehicle.

As an officer in the area turned onto Myrtle Avenue, he observed a male matching the description of the suspect of the vehicle larceny, and stopped him as part of the investigation.

Maye was identified as the suspect in the vehicle larceny and found to be in possession of proceeds from the car.

Maye was also found to be in possession of a black BB gun and the victim’s wallet from the robbery at Myrtle Avenue and Robin Street.

Maye has been charged with one count of robbery, criminal possession of stolen property, and petit larceny.
