(Scroll down for video) A man who reported his vehicle stolen many years ago, is now being investigated after the car was found buried in the backyard of his old home.

A father and son of Oklahoma, called police after finding the vehicle buried in their backyard.

Homeowner Freddie Green said that his son Cody, was digging on the property in Pottawatomie County, to adjust a jump on their dirt bike trail.

He was using a tractor when he came across something hard. After some more digging, he discovered it was an SUV.

Freddie told his son not to touch the vehicle as he was afraid there might be a body inside. They called police officers, who removed the vehicle from the ground.

They tore off the doors, but their was nothing suspicious inside the vehicle.

The license plates revealed that the Chevy Trailblazer was reported stolen by its owner back in 2003. The car owner is the same man who previously owned the property.

The car owner is now being investigated for insurance fraud.
