The New York Police Department said that they have arrested 57-year-old Nathaniel Glover, who is also known as rapper Kidd Creole, after being accused of fatally stabbing 55-year-old John Jolly.

Glover has been charged with one count of murder. He was booked into jail, and is being held without bail. If convicted, Glover faces up to life in prison.

According to the police investigation, Glover was one of the found members of the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five music band.

Glover was still appearing at concerts under the stage name Kidd Creole. Several years ago, the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Glover also worked as a security guard.

On Tuesday, at around 11:45 p.m., as Glover was on his way to work, he crossed paths with Jolly on East 44th Street near 3rd Avenue.

Jolly was homeless. Jolly allegedly hurled a gay slur at Glover.

Glover became angry, pulled out a knife, and stabbed Jolly in the torso. Jolly was taken to the Bellevue Hospital, where he died.
