(Scroll down for video) A family was left in shock over the sudden loss of a young couple just one day after they celebrated their wedding.

The teenage couple died in an accident over the weekend in Kansas.

The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, near Clearwater. 19-year-old Austin Wesson was driving a silver Ford pickup truck, when he crashed.

He was pronounced dead on the scene. His 19-year-old wife, Rebekah Bouma, died around 12:30 a.m., on Monday, in a hospital.

Bouma and Wesson were married on Friday. Wesson was a surf instructor who grew up in South Africa, before he met Rebekah.

Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Lin Dehning said that the cause of the accident is being investigated. However, evidence from the scene indicated the couple was heading northbound on 103rd Street West when Wesson lost control, veered off the road and hit a tree.

Rebekah’s father John, and mother, Rachel Byker, said that it is very difficult going from planning their wedding to planning their funeral.

Only recently have they invited guests to celebrate their most joyous day, and they are now inviting them to say goodbye to the couple.

The family released a video, showing the couple dancing romantically in her mother’s kitchen.
