(Scroll down for video) A family agreed to hand over their daughter for adoption to an American businessman so that he can give her a better life.

Sadly, the father of two biological adult children had ulterior motives, which ultimately led to his arrest.

42-year-old Andy William Bosch of Florida, applied to adopt the girl when she was just 12-years-old.

The family trusted Bosch because at the time, he was married to a distant relative the girl. He and his wife are now divorced.

Bosch is now being investigated for human trafficking.

According to ICE gents (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), his wife Melody, was upset when she learned that her husband was having sex with the girl whom she was raising as her own daughter.

However, she did not report her husband to police. In March 2016, when the girl was 16-years-old, she was removed from the home and she was placed in foster care.

Sadly, by that time, the girl was very much attached to Bosch, and she snuck out of her foster family’s home to meet with him at different locations for sex, according to investigators.

The teen eventually escaped from her foster home and lived in a home that was paid for by Bosch. There, he visited often.

Captain Jacob Ruiz of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was a willing participant with the suspect, and she does not see herself as a victim, “but we know that she really is.”

He’s currently behind bars in Seminole County, and is facing federal charges. He was also charged in Osceola County for interfering with custody by taking the girl from foster care.

Lawyers representing the defendant requested bond so that Bosch can continue to run his business, Bosch Business Group.

He argued that while the defendant is in jail, the company is losing roughly 30 clients per day.

However, a federal judge denied his request, saying that Bosch, who is originally from Puerto Rico, is a flight risk.
