A fire department in Washington, said that a cat was responsible for a fire that destroyed multiple buildings and cars.

The Grant County Fire District said that on early Wednesday morning, the fire ignited a camper, outbuildings and cars.

Investigators determined that the cat struck a power line pole and started the wildfire at about 3:30 a.m., in the 17400 block of RD B NW.

The fire spread to multiple outbuildings, junk vehicles and a camper, which were sitting near an abandoned home.

Ephrata Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to nearby residences. Last month, another cat caused an alfalfa field to burn down.

In another incident, a squirrel walked on power lines, sparking a fire that burned several acres.
