(Scroll down for video) A woman became extremely angry when she caught her husband with another woman, according to police in Kentucky.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said that the man received critical burns during the altercation with his wife.

Detective Kyle Gray arrested Vera Wooten, 40, of Corbin, on Monday, at approximately 9:35 p.m.

The arrest occurred in London, after an investigation was conducted by detectives and deputies regarding a domestic violence complaint off Woodland Court about 10 miles south of London on Monday, at approximately 8:03 p.m.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned that Wooten had poured gasoline on her husband, and set him on fire, following the domestic dispute.

She then allegedly drove him to St. Joseph Hospital London, for treatment.

Cincinnati’s burn center sent their helicopter to St. Joseph Hospital London, to transport the victim to their burn center since it is specially equipped for burn patients.

The victim has burns on over 50 percent of his body, and is listed in critical condition.

Wooten was charged with assault in the first-degree, and domestic violence, and was booked into the Laurel County Detention Center.

Her bail has been set at $100,000 and she was ordered to have no contact with her husband.

Witnesses at the scene told police that the woman found her husband John, with another woman.

John and the other woman were in her car when Wooten arrived with a can of gasoline. She then poured the gasoline on her husband and set him on fire.
