Swimmers in the United Kingdom, were disgusted by the actions of lifeguards who spread vomit in a public pool instead of removing it.

The incident unfolded on Saturday, at the Cleethorpes Leisure Centre in Lincolnshire, according to Steve Wiseman.

Wiseman said that he was swimming with his grandchildren, when a woman vomited into the water.

Instead of summoning a cleaning crew to get the vomit out of the water, lifeguards activated the wave machine, which dispersed the vomit so it would not be noticeable in the water.

Wiseman immediately ordered his grandchildren to leave the pool.

The managers of the public swimming pool defended their action, saying that the chemicals in the water is enough to kill any bacteria from the vomit.
