(Scroll down for video) A woman who made history for being the first African-American female professional road racer, was killed during her first film as a stunt performer.

The woman was performing a motorcycle stunt for the movie "Deadpool 2" in Canada, when she lost control of the bike and crashed.

Joi "SJ" Harris, who grew up in Brooklyn, New York, was in Vancouver on Monday morning, when the deadly incident unfolded.

Harris had successfully completed the stunt four times at Jack Poole Plaza, before she lost control of her motorcycle and smashed into the glass wall of a building.

The professional motorbike racer did not wear a helmet during her stunt and was killed shortly after 8:00 a.m., as she crashed into the lobby of the Shaw Tower.
