A man and his son were shocked to learn that someone entered their hotel room and robbed them while they slept.

According to police, a couple and their two children from Pennsylvania, were staying at the Embassy Suites, which is located at 950 S. Ocean Drive in Florida.

The mother and her daughter went out shopping and left the door unlocked while the father and son took a nap.

While they were sleeping, a woman entered the room and stole the father’s wallet.

The father did not know his wallet was missing until he received a call from police, notifying him that someone had tried to use his credit card.

Police are not sure whether the woman who tried to use the man’s credit card to buy $800 worth of gift cards is the same woman who stole the card or if she was an accomplice.

A female worker at Publix, immediately suspected fraud. When she called a manager, the suspect quickly left the store.

Police released surveillance video, showing the suspect walking into the hotel and speaking with the reception on the day of the robbery. They also released video of the woman who tried to buy the gift cards.

Detectives said the woman who stole the card drove a black Mustang.

Police are offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
