15-year-old girl dies after being forced to 100 squats as punishment for being late to work

(Scroll down for video) A young teenager lost her life while trying to help her family with their mounting medical bills.

15-year-old Xiao Fei of China, dropped out of school and went to work in order to help pay the medical bills of her father who was ill.

The girl began working about 6 months ago. She is not yet of age to work legally so she borrowed a friend’s ID and applied for a job.

She got a job at Qfang, a real estate company in the city of Zhongshan. According to her father, one day, when his daughter arrived late to work, her boss ordered her to do 100 squats as punishment.

A manager, who was identified as Li, insisted the squats was “part of an exercise and was not a punishment.”

However, the teen’s father insisted that his daughter was punished for being late for work and that her boss forced her to do 100 deep squats in the morning.

When she arrived home from work, Fei did not feel well and she had a lot of pain in her legs.

A few ways after the incident, the teenager was unable to move her hands, she began to vomit and collapsed.

The teen’s mother took her to a hospital. She was admitted to the intensive care unit and she later died of respiratory failure.
