Muhammadu Buhari, who recently returned from a 3-month vacation in the United Kingdom, said that the rats damaged equipment and furniture in the country’s official living quarters.

The air conditioning was also damaged while he was away on vacation.

A crew was hired to renovate the official residence.

The president expects the renovations to be complete in three months.

Buhari assured the country that he has a well-equipped office in the home to work for all citizens.

Opposition leaders called on Buhari to resign, as they fear the president is suffering from an illness and is unable to serve the country.

Some speculated that Buhari is battling prostate cancer.

However, Buhari denied the allegations, saying that he only had an ear infection, and that it was treated in the United Kingdom.
