A man who was surprised by his sudden massive weight loss, learned that he was being poisoned by his wife, according to police in Utah.

Davis County police said that they have arrested 33-year-old Chandra Vauy Stevens Read, after being accused of mixing eye drops into her husband’s food and drinks for months.

Read has been charged with one count of surreptitious administration of a substance.

According to the police investigation, Dallen Tubbs began to lose weight and suffered from flu-like symptoms for several months.

Tubbs looked around his house and found 11 empty boxes of eye drops.

Tubbs quickly Google searched the side effects of the eye drops’ active ingredients, and learned that they cause weight loss, headaches, nausea, blurred vision, and diarrhea.

Tubbs suffered from these flu-like symptoms for four months, and he lost a total of 40 pounds.

Tubbs confronted his wife, and she admitted to mixing the eye drops into his food and drinks.

Read also admitted to doing the same thing to someone else.

Tubbs suspected that his wife was poisoning their children as well and they were acting weird as of late.
