Bear kept as pet at cafe bites off arm of man who tried feeding it milk

A man lost his arm after enjoying a meal at a cafe, according to police in Russia.

42-year-old Andrey Sakharovsky of Shelekhov, visited the cafe on Tuesday.

The cafe kept three bears in a cage in order to entertain its customers.

After eating breakfast, Sakharovsky climbed into the cage with the three bears, Masha, 5, Misha and Sasha, both 4.

Sakharovsky had extra milk and wanted to feed the bears.

However, one of the bears became violent and bit off Sakharovsky’s arm.

Sakharovsky started screaming in pain.

Cafe chef Gabil Guseinov rushed into the cage and fought with the violent bear with a spade until it let go of Sakharovsky.

Sakharovsky’s arm was completely severed near his shoulder.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed Sakharovsky to a hospital, where they saved his life.

Doctors were unable to reattach Sakharovsky’s right arm.

Sakharovsky’s family is demanding compensation from the cafe, saying that the fence was not high enough and the owner allowed him to feed the bears.

The cafe owner claimed that Sakharovsky was drunk at the time.

Police have launched an investigation and ordered the cafe owner to kill the bears.

The victim’s brother Evgeny, admitted that his brother was wrong jumping over the fence, but equally blamed the cafe for not securing the area.
