The Broward Sheriff’s Office said that Violent Crimes Unit detectives released a sketch of the man who is wanted for the battery and attempted kidnapping of the Deerfield Beach woman on Wednesday afternoon.

Just after 3:00 p.m., the victim was walking in the 4000 block of Northwest 1st Place, when she was approached by the man driving a dark grey Nissan Altima with dark tinted windows.

The unidentified man yelled out for her to get in his car.

The victim refused and began to walk away from the suspect’s car.

The man started yelling obscenities at the victim.

He then got out of his Nissan, grabbed her by the arms and tried to force her into his car.

The two struggled, and the kidnapper punched the victim several times in the face.

During the struggle, the victim used her umbrella to strike the man forcefully in the groin.

As a result, the man threw the victim to the ground and she was able to run to safety.

The suspect was described as in his 20s with a dark complexion and short dark hair.

He is approximately 5 feet and 9 inches tall, and weighs about 180 pounds.

He may have a tattoo on his neck, possibly of a snake or dragon.

He wore a grey shirt and tan cargo shorts.
