Boy walks into public library and shoots 6 people killing 2

(Scroll down for video) People were shocked to learn that a teenage boy walked into a public library and opened fire on innocent people, according to police in New Mexico.

The Clovis Police Department said that on Monday, at about 4:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to 701 North Main Street, The Clovis Carver Public Library, for an active shooter.

On arrival, officers contacted the suspected shooter who immediately surrendered.

There have been fatalities at this incident and multiple injuries.

The dead victims in Monday afternoon’s incident were identified as Wanda Walters, 61, who was the Circulation Assistant, Kristina “Krissie” Carter, 48, who was the Youth Service Librarian.

Jessica Thron, 30, who was the Circulation Assistant, is listed in serious condition and is expected to recover, and Alexis Molina, 20, is also listed in serious condition and is expected to recover.

Noah Molina, 10, and Howard Jones, 53, are listed in stable condition and are expected to recover.

The four recovering victims are currently being treated at University Medical Center (UMC) in Lubbock, Texas.

The suspect was identified as Nathaniel Ray Jouett, 16.

He is facing 2 counts of Murder in the first degree, 4 counts of assault with intent to commit a violent felony, 4 counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and 1 count of child abuse.
