(Scroll down for video) A teenager was surprised when police officers came to arrest him over what he thought was a funny prank.

However, police and Dunkin’ Donuts employees did not find the prank funny at all.

Police said that when they arrested 18-year-old Seth Messer of London, Kentucky, he asked “We’re really going to jail for this?”

The incident occurred at Dunkin’ Donuts on Kentucky Route 192. Police were called over the theft of an ice cream cake, which was stolen from the store.

Workers told police that Messer came into the store and stole an ice cream cake that is valued at $25.

19-year-old Ajayci Cotton recorded video of the act and uploaded it to a social media.

When confronted by workers, who demanded the return of the cake, police said that Messer used profanity and told workers that it was now his cake, and he left.

Both teens were arrested and charged with third-degree burglary.
