Boca Raton police said that a call came in to Public Safety Dispatcher Jamie Ward, on Monday.

The five-year-old girl told police that her mother passed out and needed assistance.

Dispatcher Ward did an incredible job keeping this little girl on the line and calm until help arrived.

Police officers who arrived at the scene, used Narcan to revive 30-year-old Colleen Nichols.

Nichols has been charged with one count of child neglect.

She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, and her bail has been set at $1,000.

Nichols was driving her daughter to school when she passed out behind the wheel of her van.

The girl had been celebrating her fifth birthday.

When the girl realized that her mother passed out, she dialed 911.

She told dispatchers that her mother kind of fell asleep behind the wheel.

Police found prescription pills in the van.

Nichols denied using heroin.

She claimed to be under a lot of stress, and said that she must have blacked out.

The girl told police that she wanted to go to school.
