A couple in heartbroken over the sudden loss of their daughter who they said was a straight A student.

18-year-old Rebecca “Becky” Brock, who was described as a “gifted” law student from the United Kingdom, died while on vacation in Spain.

Brock and a group of friends were in Ibiza, celebrating a friend’s birthday.

The Nottingham Coroners’ Court heard how staff members at Hotel Marco Polo, found Brock unresponsive in her room. She was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Spanish police began an investigation into her death. According to their findings, Brock had 5 bags of ecstasy in her stomach.

One of the bags ripped open inside her stomach, which cause her to overdose of the drug and it led to her death.

However, Brock’s mother, Margarita, told an inquest that she believed her daughter was forced to swallow the bags that contained the drugs.

Margarita said that her daughter had a hard trouble swallowing prescription drugs, and therefore, she does not believe her child would have willingly swallowed the bags.

“If she didn’t have to take a pill, she wouldn’t because she couldn’t swallow it. I can’t see any other way than someone making that happen,” the devastated mother said.
