Two teens suffered major injuries after being hit by a driver who suffered from a sneezing fit, according to police in California.

The Hemet Police Department said that the two teens were crossing a street at the same moment the driver was sneezing.

The driver did not notice the teens due to the sneezing fit, and hit both teens simultaneously.

The incident unfolded on Monday, at around 12:30 p.m.

The driver was traveling on State Street, while a 16-year-old pedestrian and a 17-year-old bicyclist were crossing the street.

The driver, who was traveling at 40 miles per hour, began sneezing repeatedly.

That is when the driver struck both teens.

Both teens were rushed to the hospital.

The pedestrian is in critical condition while the bicyclist is in stable condition.

The driver remained at the scene and voluntarily offered a blood test.

Police said that drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the accident, and no charges will be filed.
