(Scroll down for video) Five teenagers were killed when their car burst into flames after crashing.

The incident was caught on a Michigan police officer's dash cam.

The video shows a blue Dodge Charger zooming past the officer's car at 1:00 a.m.

The Kalamazoo Township police officer spotted the teen's speeding past his vehicle and he called for backup.

A police pursuit ensued, but the officer was unable to keep up with the speeding teens so he called off the chase.

The officer, who headed in the same direction as the teens, later found the car crashed into a tree and it was engulfed in flames.

DNA was required to identify three of the five victims. It took the medical examiner four days to officially identify those bodies.

The teens were identified as Deztanee Cobb, 17, Elexus Hillsman, 16, Cortavian Murphy, 16, Jaquarius Hegler, 15, and Marshawn Williams, 15.

The medical examiner used dental records to identify the dead bodies.

Hillsman was set to start college this fall, but she was killed in the crash.

Her mother Patrice, said that her daughter "was going into the nursing program and she wanted to be an OB/GYN. So she had goals."

Patrice and her husband Anthony, didn't know where the teens were headed or what they were doing before the crash. Police are now working to get those answers.

Tracey Taylor, the mother of Deztanee, described her as loyal, attentive and adventurous. She said her daughter was about to start her senior year in high school.

Authorities have not said who drove the car at the time of the crash.
