Thief shot and killed at Taco Bell after trying to rob armed employees

(Scroll down for video) Police launched an investigation after Taco Bell employees opened fire at two armed robber, killing one of them, according to police in Ohio.

Cleveland police said that they are questioning the six employees who were at the scene of the shootout with two armed robbers.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday, at about 3:00 a.m.

The two armed man walked into the Taco Bell located on West 117th Street, and ordered the employees to the ground.

The two armed robbers, who wore bandanas on their faces, walked to the cash registers and began removing cash.

That is when two 19-year-old men and a 23-year-old man working at Taco Bell opened fire at the suspects.

24-year-old Deā€™Carlo Jackson was shot six times, and he fell down to the ground.

He was taken to the MetroHealth Hospital, where he died.

The other suspect fled from the scene.

Arthur Giles, who is one of the owners of the Taco Bell location, said that employees were acting in self defense.

Taco Bell headquarters said that they are offering counseling to affected employees.
