Police officers pulled over a pickup truck that dragged a puppy on a highway, according to police in Oklahoma.

Tulsa police said that they have arrested 31-year-old Matthew Jason Brown and 26-year-old Stormee Rejhae Campbell, after being accused of injuring their dog.

Both suspects were charged with animal cruelty.

Brown was also charged with driving without a license and being in possession of a stolen vehicle for driving the stolen pickup truck.

According to the police investigation, police officers were traveling behind the couple’s pickup truck at around 9:45 p.m., on Monday, on the Keystone Expressway.

Suddenly, a dog tumbled out of the pickup truck and was dragged on the road.

Police stopped the couple.

Officers noticed dry feces in the truck, indicating that the dog was being held there for some time.

The dog was handed over to the Tulsa Animal Welfare.
