(Scroll down for video) An angry alligator slapped a boy in the face as a police officer was trying to restrain it, according to a video that was uploaded to the Internet.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office was called by a woman who was attacked by the alligator that was hiding underneath her car.

The incident unfolded on Monday afternoon.

As the woman was getting into her car, the alligator lunged at her and attempted to bite her foot.

Luckily, she was able to escape uninjured.

Officer Brent Remondet responded to the scene and placed handcuffs on the reptile’s mouth.

While trying to restrain the alligator, a boy approached to watch the officer in action.

The angry alligator wiggled its tail and slapped the boy in his face.

The boy did not suffer any injuries.

Remondet removed the alligator from the scene, and released it into the wild.

The incident was recorded on video, and was uploaded to Facebook.

Remondet wrote on Facebook: “Our excitement for the day. Almost took a lady’s foot off when trying to get in her vehicle.”

Remondet said that the alligator tried to strike him, but slapped that boy in the face instead.

Brent Remondet also said that the alligator was pissed.

Bonnie Chatelain asked Remondet whether police were into arresting alligators.

Remondet said: “Yes ma’am, when they scare the living s**t out of our citizens. They lucky that’s all that happens to them. Lol.”

Remondet released the alligator into the Reserve canal.
