A man of the United Kingdom, was mauled to death by his dog in front of BBC journalists.

Mario Perivoitos, 41 ,of London, agreed to take part in of Drugs Map Britain, which is a documentary series that explores the drugs of choice in different parts of the United Kingdom.

Perivoitos was being interviewed in his own home. About half hour into filming with the camera crew, Perivoitos suddenly collapsed.

Emergency workers were called. Perivoitos had suffered an epileptic episode.

While waiting for help to arrive, Perivoitos’ dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Major, jumped on top of him and mauled him to death.

An inquest heard that Nicholas Carmichael, an expert in veterinary toxicology, found cocaine and morphine in the dog’s urine.

The amount of drugs in the dog’s urine was equivalent to eight times the legal driving limit.

Carmichael said “it is almost impossible to say whether the drugs the dog consumed caused it to attack its owner, but it does make dogs act abnormally.”
