(Scroll down for video) A group of thieves were shocked to find a dead body in a U-Haul trailer, which they stole from a motel, according to police in Oklahoma.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 26-year-old Jeremy Soliz, 22-year-old Anthony Serna and 22-year-old Daniel Gonzales, after being accused of stealing the U-Haul trailer, which contained the dead body.

Soliz was arrested on a charge of possessing burglary tools while Serna and Gonzales were being held on outstanding arrest warrants.

According to the police investigation, family members were transporting the dead body for burial.

They rented a U-Haul trailer and attached it to their black Chevy Trailblazer.

On their way from Oklahoma to Kirtland, New Mexico, the family stopped at the Residence Inn in Albuquerque.

On Sunday night, an employee of the Residence Inn called police to report a vehicle being stolen.

By the time police arrived at the scene, the thieves escaped with the U-Haul trailer, the SUV and the dead body.

On Monday morning, police recovered the U-Haul trailer with the dead body, and arrested the three suspects.
