(Scroll down for video) A family in China, is asking the public for help to identify an evil woman who was seen stealing a phone from a vulnerable student.

The college student was inside a Wuhan subway train when she fainted.

A group of good Samaritans came to her aid and helped her until they were able to get out on a station platform, where she got proper help.

However, as they waited on the platform, someone noticed that the woman’s phone and identification card, which she had been holding in her hand, had mysteriously disappeared.

They went to security and after reviewing surveillance videos from the scene, they realized that a grandmother, who was helping the student after she fainted, stole the phone and ID.

She was seen on video placing the phone into her own purse.

After the incident, the woman’s family tried to call the phone. Finally, after some time, someone answered the phone. The victim’s family recorded the call.

The woman at the other end claimed that she had bought the phone from someone and that if the student wanted her phone back, she would have to pay 800 yuan ($120).

The college student’s family believes that the woman who picked up the phone the is not an innocent third party, but that she is the one who stole it.
