(Scroll down for video) A biker who liked to show off his stunts on busy highways, was placed behind bars for endangering the lives of motorists, according to police in the United Kingdom.

Cheshire police said that the motorcyclist who performed stunts while riding on the M6 in Staffordshire, has been sentenced to serve eight months in prison by Judge David Fletcher.

Pawel Zietowski, 27, from Harlow, Essex, was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

Zietowski pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle dangerously.

The charges of speeding and using a handheld mobile phone device while driving a motor vehicle on a road, were withdrawn as part of a plea bargain agreement with prosecutors.

In addition to the prison sentence, Zietowski was banned from driving for 18 months.

During the hearing, the court was shown footage of Zietowski's antics as he rode his motorbike on the M6, northbound, one Friday, at around 2:00 p.m.

He was seen doing wheelies, taking a selfie and ultimately riding his Yamaha R6 in a dangerous manner.

He was also traveling above the speed limit, and reached 117 miles per hour at times.

Zietowski was pulled over at Yarnfield, between junctions 14 and 15, by an officer from the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG).

The officer followed him for 16 minutes, and recorded the stunts on the police car dash cam.

Inspector Sion Hathway, from CMPG, said: "Such dangerous riding will not be tolerated on our roads. Zietowski showed a blatant disregard for the rules of the road, and fellow motorists. His antics could have easily resulted in tragedy."

During questioning, Zietowski told police that he loves doing stunts with his motorcycle, and he was practicing on the M6 highway.
