An elderly woman who did not like that a police officer told her to leave a supermarket, spit on his face, according to police in Florida.

West Palm Beach police said that they have arrested 82-year-old Josette Jordan, after being accused of assaulting the police officer with her bodily fluid.

Jordan has been charged with resisting an officer, aggravated battery on an officer and resisting arrest without violence.

She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, and a judge set her bail at $3,000.

According to the police investigation, on Sunday, Jordan was shopping at the Publix located on South Rosemary Avenue near Fern Street.

Jordan got into a fight with another woman and became verbally abusive.

Jordan then left the supermarket, and returned a few minutes later to continue her verbal abuse.

When the West Palm Beach police officer tried to escort Jordan out of the store, she began to scream “help, help.”

She then sat on the floor, and blocked customers from entering or exiting the store.

When the police officer attempted to forcefully remove her, Jordan spit on his face.

The entire incident was recorded on the store’s surveillance camera.
