An elderly man was arrested after he slashed another driver’s face.

The incident unfolded as 70-year-old Arlen Hubbard of DeLand, Florida, was driving in the parking lot of Bank Of America on 230 N. Woodland Blvd.

Meanwhile, 68-year-old George Dominguez, was walking toward the same bank.

Hubbard drove by Dominguez, and almost hit him with the car at 11:20 a.m., according to the police report.

After he parked, Dominguez approached Hubbard’s vehicle and knocked on the window. Dominguez criticized Hubbard’s driving skills.

An argument ensued. Hubbard got out of his car. Both men began pushing each other, police said.

Hubbard then pulled out a machete and cut Dominguez in the face. Dominguez was bleeding from a large cut above his left cheek.

The witness who called police, told the dispatcher that Hubbard handed Dominguez a napkin to clean his bloody face. The two waited until police arrived.

The victim was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, for treatment.

Hubbard was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $5,000 bail.
