(Scroll down for video) Four people kidnapped a babysitter and tortured her for many hours because they believed she snitched on them to police about a stolen car, according to police in Australia.

Adelaide police have arrested Joshua Anthony Gent, 29, Keira Jane Baker, 28, Patrick James Breen, 25, and Stacey Gaffney, 23, after being accused of forcing the 19-year-old babysitter to drink bleach and eat dog food.

District Court Judge Jack Costello sentenced Gent to 9 years in prison, while Baker got 6 years.

Breen was ordered to serve 3 years and 11 months in prison, while Gaffney was given a 14-month suspended sentence.

All 4 suspects pleaded guilty to unlawful detention while Gent, Baker, and Breen, admitted to causing serious harm with intent.

According to the police investigation, the 19-year-old babysitter was hired by one of the suspects to watch a child.

The suspects then accused the babysitter of calling police to report them for stealing a car.

The suspects tied up the woman, and tortured her for 18 hours.

They forced her to drink bleach, eat dog food and smoke drugs.

The suspects then placed an onion in her mouth to prevent her from screaming.

She was kicked all over her body and burned on her chest with a drug pipe.

At one point, the babysitter was told that she will be handed over to a rapist to be raped and killed.

The suspects laughed at the babysitter and recorded the abuse on their cell phones.
