(Scroll down for video) People called police after seeing a young girl behind the wheel of a car that was driving erratically, according to police in Pennsylvania.

Darlington Township police said that they have arrested Kevin Michael Cook, 24, after being accused of forcing the 8-year-old girl to drive him home from her grandmother’s house.

Cook has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, driving under the influence and driving without a license.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Sunday, at around 7:30 p.m.

Cook and the 8-year-old girl were at her grandmother’s house.

Cook became drunk at the home of Brenda Spencer, and then forced her granddaughter into his car.

Cook then ordered the girl to drive across state lines to East Palestine, Ohio.

When the girl drove on Little Beaver Road, she nearly hit a vehicle twice.

The owner of the vehicle got out, and confronted the girl and Cook.

The owner of the vehicle then called the police.

Two bystanders then stopped the car and held Cook down until police arrived.

Police said that Cook was too drunk to complete sobriety test, and he nearly fell to the ground.
