Father demands hospital pay for ripping son’s clothes while saving his life

(Scroll down for video) A hospital released video, showing doctors ripping a man’s clothes while saving his life after the patient’s father demanded compensation.

According to the hospital, the young man named Li of Wuhan, China, was brought to the hospital by an ambulance.

Li had suffered a pulmonary embolism, which a blockage of an artery in the lungs. Doctors in the emergency room were seen in the video carrying out life saving treatment.

Li was unconscious, and after a short time, doctors ripped the man’s clothing in order to be able to operate quickly and save his life.

After the man was in stable condition, his father noted that his son’s clothing had been cut and the contents of his pockets were missing.

The father demanded compensation for the torn clothes and alleged missing valuables.

The father demanded that doctors give him 1,500 yuan ($250) in compensation. One doctor took pity on the father and offered to give him 1,500 yuan ($150).

After the video of the incident went viral, the doctor explained that he decided to help the father because “for some people, 1,000 yuan is not a big deal, but for him, it was probably very important.”
