(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested after he was seen hanging out in girl’s bathroom at school.

A mother walked into the bathroom at an elementary school in Santa Rosa, California, where she found 39-year-old Alan Brelsford.

The mother immediately reported him to the Redwood Adventist Academy Elementary school principal.

The principal and other staff members confronted Brelsford, and escorted him out of the building. Police were then called to the school.

While officers were taking a report, Brelsford returned to the school. Brelsford does not have a child at the school.

Police learned that Brelsford is a registered sex offender.

According to police, in 2006, Brelsford was caught exposing himself and masturbating at an all girls high school in Sacramento.

He was convicted of the crime, and was ordered to register as a sex offender.

He was also ordered to stay away from schools. Brelsford moved away from Sacramento, and currently lives in Santa Rosa, where he was arrested for violating the terms of his probation.
