(Scroll down for video) A man who was a well-respected paramedic and firefighter, was arrested for sexually abusing a patient.

33-year-old Clifford Heiser of Wisconsin, was transporting a woman to a hospital when he sexually assaulted her.

The 29-year-old woman filed a complaint with police. According to police, the woman was cared for by Heiser, who was working for the Wausau Fire Department ambulance, while she was being transported to an area hospital.

The female patient told police that during their trip, Heiser bit her breasts and touched her inappropriately. DNA taken from the woman confirmed her accusations.

Police said that saliva taken from the woman’s breasts matched that of Heiser.

He was arrested by Wausau Police for sexual assault. Heiser then resigned from his job as paramedic.

Wausau Fire Chief Tracey Kujawa said that they are working on repairing the trust from the community. She added that they are looking into the possibility of placing cameras in the back of every ambulance.
