(Scroll down for video) A mother told investigators that she did not call 911 to get help for her dying daughter because her cell phone plan was running low on minutes, according to police in Texas.

The San Antonio Police Department said that they have arrested 34-year-old Jessica Briones, after being accused of beating 4-year-old Olivia to death.

Briones has been charged with one count of causing injuries to a child.

She was booked into jail, and her bail was set at $25,000.

If convicted, Briones faces up to 99 years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint, Briones brought her unconscious daughter to a police station.

The mother of the 4-year-old girl told police that her daughter began vomiting 24 hours ago.

Olivia was rushed to the University Hospital, where she was declared dead.

Briones admitted to police that she slammed a door on her daughter’s arm.

When she was asked why she did not call for help, Briones said that her cell phone plan was low on minutes.

Doctors told police that the girl was hit on the head with a hard object, which caused bleeding in her brain.

Olivia also suffered from a swollen nose, black eye and a deflated lung.
