(Scroll down for video) A father in Texas, is very happy that he finally cleared his name after he was accused of killing his young daughter.

33-year-old Anthony Michael Sanders was arrested on murder charges after he was accused of smothering his 2-year-old daughter Ellie Mae Sanders, at their home in Fort Worth.

The incident unfolded on Dec. 12, 2015.

Investigators came to the conclusion that Sanders, who was the only adult in the home at the time, held his hand over the child’s mouth until she died after he became angry when she interrupted his computer games.

Sanders, who has been in jail since April 2016, maintained his innocence.

He claimed that he found his daughter unresponsive after his son, who was 5-years-old at the time, told him that he was playing with his sister when she fell asleep and would not wake up.

As prosecutors were preparing to go to trial, they interviewed the boy, who is now 7-years-old. During the interview, the boy suddenly confessed that he killed his younger sister.

Detectives said that the boy cried as he told them that he was playing on a bed with his sister when he accidentally rolled a heavy pillow onto her face, and that he was unable to move it.

He said that he called his father for help.

It was at that point, that the father went into the room, removed the pillow and found that his daughter was not breathing.

According to detectives, the boy said that the pillow had something zipped inside, which made it heavy.

An official with the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office told the court that it is possible for a 5-year-old to overpower a 2-year-old.

In addition, the boy’s mother told prosecutors that her son had told her after the accident that he caused the death, but she dismissed it as she did not believe his claim.
