(Scroll down for video) A man lived for the dead bodies of his twin brother and mother, causing his house to become infested with maggots, according to police in Minnesota.

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 60-year-old Robert James Kuefler, after failing to notify the police that his family members have died.

Kuefler has been charged with one count of interference with a dead body or scene of death.

If convicted, Kuefler faces up to a year in prison and a fine of up to $3,000.

According to the police investigation, 94-year-old Evelyn Lucille Kuefler and 58-year-old Richard John Kuefler died of natural causes.

Robert told police that he came home one day, and found his twin brother dead in a chair.

Robert moved Richard’s dead body to the basement of the home because it was in his way.

Several months later, his mother’s condition deteriorated.

When Robert realized that his mother was going to die, he left the house and drove around town for several hours.

When he came back to the home located at 4708 Sandra Lane, he found his mother dead in her bed.

Robert said that she could not bring himself to bury the bodies so he left them in his home.

A short time later, his house became infested with maggots and flies.

A neighbor called police after seeing suspicious activity in the home.

Police officers who arrived at the scene, saw the woman’s dead body through a window.

They broke down the front door, and found the woman’s skeletal remains in her bed.

When police searched the basement, the found the mummified body of Richard.

Autopsies confirmed that they both died of natural causes.
