(Scroll down for video) A young boy stole a car and went for a joyride because he was bored, according to police in Ohio.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that they have arrested the 10-year-old boy of Cleveland, who was not identified, after leading police on a high-speed chase for more than an hour.

The boy was charged with fleeing and eluding at the Erie County Juvenile Court.

The boy was released to the custody of his parents.

According to the police investigation, on Thursday, at around 8:30 a.m., the boy took the car belonging to his mother’s boyfriend.

The boy did not have permission to take the car.

This was the second time that the boy took a family member’s car without permission.

The boy’s mother took her own car and began chasing her son.

Concerned drivers called the police to report that there was a boy speeding down the Interstate 90 and Interstate 80.

Police began chasing the boy but he refused to stop.

The boy led police on a high-speed chase for 45 miles.

The boy drove 100 miles per hour at times.

Eventually, he was pushed off the highway by a state trooper.

When police tried to remove the boy from the car, he kicked one officer and spat on another.

During questioning, the boy told police that he stole the car and went on a joyride because he was bored.
