A married man and his wife watched a football game together and they decided to burn the losing team’s jersey, according to police in Florida.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said that the 27-year-old man of Vero Beach, who was not notified, suffered serious injuries after lighting the football jersey on fire and then putting it on.

The man was taken to the Indian River Medical Center, where he is being treated for third-degree burns on his arms and hands.

The man also suffered burns on his back.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Sunday, at around 9:00 p.m., at the married couple’s home located in the 600 block of 9th Street.

The husband and wife, who are fans of two different football teams, were drinking and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers game.

During the game, the husband and wife decided to burn the jersey of the losing football team.

After the husband’s team lost the game, he went outside and lit the jersey on fire.

The husband then put on the jersey while it was in flames.

Family members at the scene quickly pulled off the burning shirt.

A witness at the scene said that skin was hanging from the husband’s arm and back.
