A police officer in Nigeria, is being investigated after he was accused of being behind the kidnapping of a man who was allegedly dating his estranged wife.

According to police, Sergeant Nagbama Osakpamwan Eboigbe, who is known as “Smally,” did not want to accept the fact that his wife no longer wanted to be with him.

The sergeant’s wife left him 9 months ago, and she decided to move on with her life.

However, Eboigbe was furious when he suspected that his estranged wife began dating other men despite the fact that they were not divorced.

Eboigbe is accused of hiring 10 armed thugs to kidnap and beat the man who was his estranged wife’s new lover.

The man was identified as Ese Idehen. He denied dating the woman.

The gang recorded the kidnapping and beating. They uploaded two graphic videos of the incident and they went viral.

One video showed Idehen being blindfolded and kidnapped from a bar along Muritala Mohammed Way in Benin City, where he was hanging out with friends.

The victim was severely beaten, his clothes were torn and he was forced into the trunk of a car.

Another video showed the injured victim confessing to sleeping with the sergeant’s wife one time.

After hours of torture and armed with the video proof, the thugs dumped the blindfolded man outside of a school and they drove off.

Jefferson Uwughoren, who is the attorney for the victim, told the State Commissioner of Police, Haliru Gwandu, that his client was abducted and forced to confess to things he did not do.

The sergeant’s estranged wife also denied the claims and said that she never slept with Idehen.

Uwughoren wrote about his client’s ordeal on Facebook, and he posted photos of the injuries Idehen suffered.
